What We Look For During a Basic Vehicle Checkup
Our basic vehicle checkup gives you an overview of the condition of your vehicle.
A basic vehicle checkup takes around half an hour to complete and costs £40+VAT.
In order to make sure your vehicle lasts as long as possible and avoids potential breakdowns or failures, we’ll check 5 key areas; fluids, drivetrain, brakes, steering and suspension.
First, we’ll make sure you have good quality oil (essential for a healthy engine), brake fluid (to make sure you can safely stop), and coolant (to make sure your engine doesn’t overheat).
We’ll also check you driveshafts, CV joints and boots, the life left on your brake discs and pads, your steering gear, your springs, shocks and bushes for any damage.
What’s Involved In the Comprehensive Checkup
Our comprehensive vehicle checkup gives you complete peace of mind that your vehicle is in tip-top condition.
Our comprehensive vehicle checkup takes around an hour to complete and costs £70+VAT.
It includes everything in the basic vehicle check-up as well as a full diagnostic using the latest diagnostic machines.
The machine we use will depend on your vehicle. We use original BMW, Mercedes and Ford diagnostic systems, as well as aftermarket systems from Snap-On, Delphi and Launch.
We well also test your battery condition and take the vehicle for a quick test drive to see if anything seems out-of-place.

If we find any issues, we’ll let you know and tell you how to fix them.
At Sierra Garage, we’re happy to offer free quotes to fix any issues that are found during your vehicle checkup.
We have great relationships with our local parts suppliers so we can quickly find you the right parts at the best price.
